Jake Paul is ready to fight.
Despite 57-year-old rival Mike Tyson suffering an airborne medical emergency over the weekend, the 27-year-old YouTuber-turned-boxer took to social media on Monday to slam rumors that his upcoming bout has been cancelled.
“You like to mingle before you know the facts about clicks/likes. Nothing has changed #PaulTyson,” he wrote on X.
While Tyson — who retired from the ring in 2005 — has yet to enter the chat in person, his representative updated Page Six on his condition on Monday.
According to the representative, the athlete “became nauseous and dizzy due to an ulcer that broke out 30 minutes before landing” in Los Angeles after leaving Miami.
“He appreciates the medical staff who were there to help him,” they added. They also explained that he was “in great shape.”
Page Six reached out for comment on Paul's tweet but did not immediately receive a response.
The Tyson vs. Ball fight is scheduled to be broadcast live on Netflix from AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, on July 20.
He called their scheduled fight a “no-brainer” in a press conference earlier this month.
“It was a no-brainer,” he explained confidently. “He's the new guy on the scene. I love shaking the sports world to its core, and I'm doing it now. It's just something I want to do.”
For his part, Paul said that the upcoming match between them is “the biggest battle of the twenty-first century in every sense of the word.”
“Because it's Mike Tyson against me, but also for the fact that it's in 700 million households,” he added.
Tyson became the youngest heavyweight champion in 1986 when he knocked out Trevor Berbick. He held that honor until 1990, when he was ousted by Buster Douglas.
He holds an impressive 50-6-2 record, while Paul, a new contender, has a 9-1 record. The former has 44 knockouts, while Paul, brother of social media star Logan Paul, has six, according to his ESPN profile.
Despite his lack of experience compared to Tyson, Jake said he should not be underestimated.
“I'm a natural heavyweight,” he gloated while announcing the fight.
“I'll show Mike who has more power.”
“I think he underestimates me, and I think everyone underestimates me.”
